STORY TIME: I was on vacation at the beach last year and ran out of diapers in the middle of the night. Rookie mistake 😩Everything on the island was closed until early next morning, so we had to improvise.
I figured I could use one of the disposable pampers splashers (they’re for the water so must be able contain pee right?… wrong 🙃) Using that diaper was equivalent to just putting down a napkin and calling it a night. My poor baby was hysterically crying 3 hours later and I realized the crib was covered in pee. She was soaked!!! This was around 6am, so the stores that sold diapers wouldn’t open for another 2 hours.
I then decided to grab the reusable swim diaper that we had as a last resort. I have to say it contained about 50% more of the mess. There was still some leakage but it was much better absorbed in the fabric.
Moral of the story: 1) don’t run out of diapers lol & 2) there is literally no point in purchasing pampers splashers in my opinion.
